Just done it too. Possible £100 for less than two minutes 'work' not bad [:)]
Was a bit dubious until I read this thread, but now sure its 'totally boney fido' as Victoria Wood would say [:D][:D]
If we all threw our problems in a pile and saw everyone else’s, we’d grab ours back.

Funds paid to date accepted as F&F 16th August 2013, the wait for completion begins.

Cybus, I completely agree with your comments.

I received the e-mail this morning at work. I was shocked that anyone even knows about my IVA, my membership to this forum, leave alone my personal e-mail!!

I was hoping that it would be a scam until now realising that, truly my personal details have been passed on.

What happend to the Data Protection Act ?

Not happy at all. Can someone explain how it is possible to pass on my logging details to this forum !!!

Very angry OTTER!!

Did I not suggest the last time that a warning is posted to expect the survey?? Seems to have fallen on deaf ears and lots of people may have deleted it regarding it as spam.

I filled mine in though!!
Discharged today the 8th feb 2012. View is much brighter now.
Continuing to rebuild our credit worthiness.

I presume you put your email address down when you registered Otter

The email is from iva.co.uk, who obviously know of your IVA.

Your details have not been passed on anywhere.

"Your details have not been passed on anywhere."

Kallis, I must strongly disagree with you. They have clearly been passed on to http://www.insolvencypr.com/clients.asp

I also thought that when I registered that my details would not be passed onto the third party.

I feel highly let down by this forum now.

How can I remove my details (and be sure) ?

P.S. We complain about our details being on the Insolvency Register but here is a forum passing on details our personal details to who ever ... :-(

Dear Simbel,

I do not think you understand the point of this. The forum could as well have sold your name to your local newspaper!

P.S. I also found the invition to the survey highly unprofessional. No mention who she is, who she works for etc. (obviously this could be seen from the e-mail only:-)

I think you will probably find that this site is to do with the IVA forum as all companies shown on there are involved with it.

You cannot remove your email from the site as far as I am aware as it may be needed if admin need to get in touch with you at any time.

I will email admin and pass your comments on.

Dear Otter,

Why would anyone buy this forum's mail shot when every Tom, Dick or Laura could just go to the Insolvency Register and get my details and yours for free??

The site in question will not pass details on. I myself am on there - no details, just general stuff and that was at the invitation of admin.

No one has your details Otter.

I have emailed admin and told them of the problems this has caused. I assume that they will post on here.

My e-mail address is not listed on the Insolvency Register!

I also found this unsolicited e-mail higly unprofessional. No mention or explanation who and what. The e-mail address of the sender does not match the forum.

I am also aware that if a forum would like to do surveys they can be done in a voluntary bases without sending direct messages to the members.

Thanks to the e-mail from Ms Stevens my embloyer now is aware of my IVA !!

Kallis, yes please look if my e-mail can me removed as I am not happy for it to be used in any way other way other than if I forget my password (there is no need for the forum admin to get in touch with me)

P.S. I would not have joined the forum if I would have known that my details are not safe (my e-mail address even have my surname!)

Anyone wanting to share their mobile numbers ;-(

The link is associated with:

IVA.co.uk
Vincent Bond & Co
IVA Advice Bureau

This was only from the e-mail address. We do not really know what else was behind it?

It still does not make it any easier for me to explain to my embloyer (who checks all my messages)!!
