It's not good when your IP doesn't want to know.

I hope you manage to get something sorted out.

Ostrich are an IVA company, they were the company we approached, my advice is not to touch them.

I was concerned with some of their advice to us, we ended up with another debt, £2000 for the estate agent/solicitor as we tried to sell the house, Ostrich would not add this onto our proposal, instead, they just asked "can you not borrow it off someone? your IVA is up to its limit and it cannot be added in" [:0]

they did not see any problem that 2 years into the IVA, I would be jobless, so how did they expect us to pay over £800 per month?

we shredded the proposal in the end and went bankrupt

edited for typos [:I]

I see you are already in an IVA with Ostrich but if anyone else is considering using this company, I would shop around, it never entered my head to try another company at the time, I thought as they were the professionals, they must be right and a different company would only say the same thing, I am so much wiser now!

Who is the IP with this company as I would like to know if they are linked to any one particular firm. I have never heard of them and still feel that they are packagers rather than IPs.

ociation.

How do I find this out?

It does say on their letter header that they are licensed to undertake work by Association of Chartered Certified Accountants, by the Department of Trade and Industry and Insolvency Practitioners Association.

They also have a registered number of 5666952.

There website is down as *link removed* but it doesn't work.

If they have changed names we have never been informed.

*Sorry, but you can't post links on here*

Check your chairmans report - your IP should be named on there.

The Chairman may not necessarily be your IP. Check your proposal for details of the nominee and proposed supervisor.

Hmmm! I presume the 'introducers' must work from the same address!

As long as they are not going to run off with my money and pay my creditors then I am happy.

Will be even happier when I can close the door on this.
