Get in there. Both IVA's accepted today. What a relief. A modification required to interest only mortgage. Only to be expected with the amount of debt we have. Can I take this oppurtunity to thank the staff at Cleardebt especially Mike Morgan. I cannot praise them enough from start to fininsh. I know this is only the first step along a hard road but we have been in DMP for four years so things can only get better. Thanks for all your help. Mark.

Well done I bet you are so relieved! My creditors meeting is the 9th April and me and my partner have interlocking IVA proposal. I am just wondering if our creditors ask us to go on interest only mortgage. Do the mortgage companies let you do this for a long period of time or for some many months?

Well done again.

Thanks for all your kind wishes. In answer to the question about changing the mortgage to interest only. It is to remain that way throughout the term of the IVA to give a greater return to all the creditors. Apparently Northern Rock were fine with this, which I did not expect as part of the debt was a together mortgage with an unsecured element. Anyway here's to a debt free future in five years.
Cheers Mark

I have just caught up with this thread, and I have to say that I am even more delighted than usual with this result as we had quite a few more obstacles to overcome than is the norm.
