Hi Paula, i have read through some of your threads and am probably going to be in the same boat as yourself as the equity in my home is probably very little, added to the fact that who will give me a mortgage to the tune of probably 85% or more in this present financial climate so i may be looking at a 72 month IVA a disappointing thought but i want to pay back as much as i can. Please speak with Declan and see if there is anything he can do for you. I wish you well and like you i will think seriously before i ever take out anything on credit again, of course that's if i can hmmmmmmmmmmm.
Om shanti, namesté, good luck to all who are embarking on the IVA journey, it isn't always an easy one but the outcome is the best.

IVA COMPLETED August 2012, received Completion certificate 18.4.13.

Hay Paula

I have to agree with the other, i also think its very unfair of you to post on several other posts saying the same thing and advising peple not to look at an IVA

IVA's have healped a great many of people, i totally understand your frustration, after working hard to pay the extra with overtime etc assuming you would be able to finish early, however all the details of an IVA and how it would work are widely avaliable prior to commitment to the agreement.

For me i knew an IVA was the best chance i had to eventually become debt free, the DMP i was on would have taken 12 years to pay off all my debt and BR was not a road i wanted to go down!

As i said i understand your frustration however lets not forget there are a great many people who have very successfully become debt free via an IVA and it concerns me that your several posts may cause others anxiety and feel they have less options than is open to them.

best wishes
Drew

Im not saying you dont paula, and clearly my post doesnt state that! But i feel 'having your say' on each and every post saying the same thing is not really constructive.

Paula,

Declan will deal with this for you so your best bet it to contact him and go from there. All this negativity will get you nowhere and I can understand your frustration.

Paula, I appreciate the fact that you are not happy with your situation, but please don't post advising people not to do an IVA. They will receive free and impartial advice.

Contact Declan via his details under the experts link on the left hand side of the page.

It makes no difference to me which option people take.

The advice on this forum and from the professionals on here is free and impartial and every avenue will be explored.

There are a lot of people out there who may well be put off from seeking a solution to their problems by reading such negative comments.

This forum is a source of advice and support for many.

That is what is always recommended on here.

We always advise speaking to several companies, and not just the ones who post on here. Posters are told to make sure that they are happy with the company they choose.
