I realise what he is saying Lyns, but I would have thought that it should have been sorted by now as it is four months since Ray did his F&F.
Plenty of time to finalise things with the creditors.

Helen I think its shocking that Ray has had to wait this length of time, it only took a month to receice my cert of completion from the date of the creditors meeting.
Ray - keep chasing them! This should be sorted by now.

MrsKnight, thank you for your kind words, I haven't had any problems with BE so far we were in a DMP for a while prior to the IVA with B&E as well and never had any problems either so I am hoping it is as you say there are lots of satisfied clients who don't bother to write on the forum. [:)]
rayb: I hope this get sorted out quickly for you it must be so good to feel the end is near but frustrating that others seem to be creating hold ups.
If life is what you make it, I must have been in a strange mood when I made mine
You should check the T&C's regarding settlement in your proposal. Usually companies will allow themselves three months for 'bookkeeping' upon settlement of the VA.
A common cause of delays to completion is creditors failing to cash dividend cheques, as your IP cannot complete your VA until the monies held in your insolvency services account have been dealt with. Again, most IP's will include a time frame for creditors to cash final dividends in the proposal, often stating any none cashed cheques will be returned to the debtor, or paid out pro rata to remaining creditors.
Basicially, check your proposal and see what it says regarding completion. If they are outside of the timescales supplied, then you have grounds to raise a complaint with your IP.
I would be on the phone to them on Monday. Four months is long enough for creditors to have sorted things out.

hi we finished our iva end of april received completion certificate a month later but we are still showing as current on the insolvency register just hoped by now it would be off
You should be off by now I would have thought. I'd get in touch with the Insolvency Register to see why you are still on there.
