My wife and I went through an IVA together in 2006 and opted to pay in one lump sum rather than over 5 years.
My wife wants to set up her own business and have a business account maybe as a sole trader initially and then probably have a limited company.
I settled for a treasures account about 2 years ago via Halifax daring not to try anything else which is ok but is a pain for getting money out plus no cheque book or bank card.
Can anyone advise given that its 4 year on if there are any banks that offer business accounts to those of us who are out of an IVA but not upto to the 6 year point.
Also can anyone advise what actually happens after 6 years. Should we get copies of a credit reports to see if the info has been removed before applying for acounts etc or is it automatic?
I have just looked at the Co - Op website and they appear to have withdrawn all business accounts apart from the FSB option?
Does anyone know why this is or?
Just wondering if anyone else knows of a bank that allows business accounts and or personal accounts for those that have finished an IVA but have not reached the 6 year mark?
