Excellent choice, they come highly recommended. The forum is always here for support and advice at anytime, and also for a virtual hug if you need it.

We can do lots of virtual hugs! We've all been in need of them at some point.

I don't mind you asking at all.

We are now used to budgeting weekly. We go shopping with a list and pretty much stick to it, we have the odd treat but the best thing is that I know the light has been switched on and we will be debt free before too much longer.

I also love the fact that I don't dread the phone ringing or the postman calling.

Thats good news. Yes, for me the phone ringing is the worst. It starts at about 7.30am and sometimes as late as 9.30pm. I particularly hate the calls on a Sunday. I get in from Church with a renewed strength, only to be zapped by calls from creditors! I wont miss that and am looking forward to a bit less stress (hopefully)

I can confirm you've picked a good team to represent you. x
IVA final payment left the bank on the 26th January 2013...looking forward to a debt free future.

Amfrain, tina was the lady i spoke to first as well and I can totally empathise with you on the feeling. My only continued fret was that I wasn't sure if my debts would be included cos I only had teeny one in name...teeny as in 2.5k. Mind you my daft brain (always forgetts things, hence leakybrain) forgot that I was named on the big loan too. oops.

Anyway, I wish you well, and it will be good to see someone on the same path as me and at the same stage.

Jan, its the lack of worrying that i am looking forward to. I think the calls may have already started as we have had two not available calls.

Thanks. Its nice (weird choice of word maybe?) knowing there are other people out there in the same boat with the same worries etc.

The calls are parr for the course. It's a big waste of everyones' time but I suppose it keeps the thugs off the street. All their threats are empty and they cannot influence your iva. So they aren't really anything to worry about. One of the best is the threat to default you and put it on your credit record...duh I've already chosen to do that!!

Glad that my Tina has been able to help you get a better understanding of the IVA process, and I shall look forward to speaking to you in person very soon.

Amfrain,

You've chose a cracking IP. The fact Melanie is accessible, not only on this forum, but by way of email, speaks volumes.

Good luck with your proposal, and keep posting has their are a number of experts on the forum who can answer the more in-depth question.

amfrain - the calls are a pain, just be strong though and don't let them bully you.

You are with a good team.

Hi
Thanks all. The support form this site is great, its such a big thing we are doing and cant really worry elderly parents in law, and with no family of my own, its going to be a great help having people to discuss my fear and worries with.
