If you are working to different guidelines to the voting creditors surely it must make it difficult to deal with them?
Take care,

The IVA Protocol allows for either the CCCS and CFS guidelines to be used, so creditors should be geared up to handle either

CCCS guidelines are much more generous and considered to be more accurate which is why they should be used.

The Standing Committee of the IVA Protocol deemed that both were acceptable and could be used ChiChing. On the updated protocol being released in 2010 it was not amended so it must be working as it is.

We have our IVA with DFD and are 6 months in. We get £420 a month for food and £70 a month towards school meals for our 2 children aged 9 and 6. School meals cost us £80 a month as they are £2 per day per child, so we have a £10 short fall. We mangage ok with this budget though. I don't see why you can't have the same.

Hi
Just a quick update. Have rung DFD tonight.
The first department I spoke to told me I would have to make an appointment to speak to my IP but they could help me instead. I explained I had previously spoken with Customer Services and now wished to speak with my IP. I was ringing an 0845 number which is premium rate on our call plan so I asked for another number starting 01 that I could ring as that would be a free call for me). I was told initially that there wasn't a number but when I said I had previously rung one, as it had been included in a letter that I couldn't locate at the minute, I was given the number.

I rang the O1 number and I have now left a message for my IP to ring me.

I did ask which guidelines were used for allowances, but the person at DFD didn't know.

Will keep you all updated if I get anywhere.
Thanks for all the responses.

Liam - is your last comment directed at me, with regard to the use of CCCS guidelines? If so, I am not sure what point you are making - could you clarify please.

Not at all! We also use CCCS guidelines, as do most of the creditors we speak to. It was an innocent question to DJGriffiths, and he answered it well.
Take care,

Hi - just an update really, which may be helpful to you Declan.

I read all the paperwork again and our allowances are based on the CCCS guidelines so not really sure yet why we were advised we couldn't claim for school lunches.

Due to work commitments I thought it would be easier to email DFD so I obtained or IPs email address off the link on the forum and explained our issues. Have today received a response saying they should be able to respond to the queries next week but if you can assist with this Declan it would be much appreciated as payment date looms!!!

Hi everyone and thanks for your help Declan.
Have spoken with DFD now and they have increased our food allowance and given us a school lunch allowance too so no more raiding the contingency fund!!!!

Om shanti, namesté, good luck to all who are embarking on the IVA journey, it isn't always an easy one but the outcome is the best.
