I think if you can make savings Goosed from your other expenditures then it's fine to have more than the basic. I would love to treat hubby to sports but not at the minute but maybe one day in the future.

With sky, im not too fussed in the summer as im outside and not worrying about tv etc.. but when the winter sets in, basically im lazy, even now im curled up on the sofa, blanket and tv on just relaxing on my day off. Would be nice to have something other than topgear to watch!

Sky is one thing I wouldn't get rid of - it's our entertainment as we rarely go out.

In the new CCCS guidelines, the basic amount for satellite or cable TV is £23. You can get it added and it shouldn't get modified. :)

It's gone up then!

I save from some of my allowances and daughter gives me some towards it as well so we upgraded.

Same as you...Can`t remember the last time we actually `went out` as such, I watch a non-league team which costs £150 for my season ticket (so about £7 a match), don`t smoke, so Sky is just about justifiable I feel... we do have a couple of glasses of wine or a couple of beers on my night off, though[:D].
As for keeping the same subscription, we`ll just have to see how things pan out in the New Year.

I don't even go to anything like that! We go out to Sunday lunch every couple of months when parents pay for it but that's about it.

I try and go out every so often I'll try and book a Travelodge £9 or £15 room and go to Manchester. Family caters for us whilst there and I love it. Hubby goes fishing once a month. We all deserve a bit of a treat within an IVA as it's a long slog.

Yeah I enjoy that too Jan, always nice to have a catch up and relax with people in a same/similar situation to yourselves and you can be yourself and not have to pretend as I often have to. x

Certainly is! At least we don't have to worry about ice and snow!

Rain we can cope with!

I'm looking forward to the BBQ already. That was a class day out last summer, and I;ll be bringing my Tupperware collection with me next year to steal some of Dave's amazing curry.
