Well I haven't even had a call about paperwork they need yet even though I made my first call nearly 2 weeks ago so I don't know what is happening with our application. We called Tina last night and I have emailed her today but heard nothing.

Had a call from Egg again this morning at 0810hrs which I wasn't happy about, what I am really furious about is that it was the collections department demanding a payment from me instead of hubby. It is only afterwards that I have realised that my payment isn't even due until 22nd December and I am up to date with payments to them!!!!! I expect that due to hubby's card being delinquent now and him telling them we are going in an IVA, they are going to start hassling me now, but it's a bit much when I am not even late with my payments yet.

I know, I'm being impatient aren't I? it's just sooooooooooo stressful though I am sure you all know!

On the plus side, we have finally got an account sorted, Lloyds TSB classic account, opened it online in hubby's name only (as you can't open it as a joint account online) and then going to change it to a joint account in branch next friday, they are giving us a cheque book with it and visa debit card which sorts out the issue with paying for daughters music lessons. Only problem is it is too late for hubby's salary to go in at end of Dec as the cut off date for changes was 7th Dec so I will have to transfer it across from HSBC as soon as it goes in on 31st Dec.

We are still waiting for thje Coop account documents to come through that we opened on 2nd Dec, when that comes through, we are going to use that as a savings account.

I think we've all been impatient at some point but you will get there Lem, remember we're all here for you via the forum.

Good news about the bank account though so things are moving forward.

Lem - please try not to worry We have all been there - We changed my phone number, I could not have handled the calls. We also had loads of reminders/letters I just sent them onto Mel and her team. You are with a good team.

Things are moving on lem and I agree with Lesley that Tina probably does work office hours.

Good news with the bank account.

Hang in there and please don't worry, it will all come right in the end.

Lem

I received the paperwork yesterday evening from Tina, and will be reviewing it over the weekend. I am sorry that you have felt caught up in a system which appears to be busy. We are no busier than we normally are, and I am going to get Tina to call you on Monday to chat through some of the issues you have raised in your post. It is natural to be concerned about things at the early stages, but please rest assured that we operate a very good system which deals with all cases in a very timely manner.

Hi lem,
I know it`s dead easy for us to say don`t worry or panic, but I assure you, every one of us has been where you are now.
You will get many phone calls...You will get many letters, but the timescale involved means your IVA proposal will have been approved before any legal action will be taken by ceditors...and they know this, that`s why they will try to harass you into making payments.
It may well take three months to propose your IVA, but trust Melanie and her team...They get it right.

And can I just point out that the majority of that two to three months will be taken up in the time our clients take to get the papers to us, the time it takes creditors to respond to our audit letters, and the calling of the creditors meeting which requires at least 16 days notice.

Sorry Melanie, I didn`t mean to come across as negative, I just intended to give a possible maximum timescale of due course.

I did not think that you were being negative one bit
Goosed. In fact I thought yout post was very honest and helpful - but I just wanted to show how the different task were broken down so that new posters will realise that there is a lot of work going on in the background - as you, yourself, also experienced.

Thank you Melanie, it's just reassuring to know everything is moving along ok, you just panic a bit when it goes quiet!
