Made my first payment today -- even managed to update the countdown [:D]

Although IVA was agreed 17th December, IP put standing order through for first payment to come out 21st January --- anyway, just gone online and amended it so first payment was made today.[:D]

I remember my first payment. Funny mix of relief at being back in control and feeling nervous about what lay ahead.

Good luck and keep using the forum. The advice and support that is available on here is exceptional and will prove invaluable for the journey that lays ahead.

Well done for amending the standing order. If you had not your account would always have shown you as being one month in arrears.

This is what I thought Melanie. You only get three "strikes" and I would have started one down!! No idea why they didn't think of that when they processed to standing order. If they had given me the account details right away I could have set it up in seconds from this end, but they insisted on doing it themselves!

Thank you all for your good wishes, I see that a number of us have started on the road together. From that first call for help to the first payment has been a roller coaster, some good bits, some not so good.

For some reason "Follow the Yellow Brick Road" has popped, unbidden, into my mind !!!
