My credit report is due to cleanse on 21st Feb and have checked the dates of default so should all happen when it should.
There is one account on there which has not been update since 2005 which just shows 1 payment late. No default date, no settled date etc etc.
I have attempted to contact them and got nowhere as those sorts of accounts do not exist with them anymore so I asked credit expert to dispute it (as this account is not on Equifax or call credit) and they reponded with different contact details as they would not update the info at credit experts request. Just called them and it would appear to be the correct people, however they can no longer access old accounts by name & postcode, DOB etc and the lady said I need accounts numbers etc which I dont have as all paperwork went off to Freeman Jones at the beginning of the IVA. Will they still have the account numbers etc on my file paperwork?? Would credit expert have the accounts numbers etc? (tried to call them but they're closed)
If the balance was nil I wouldnt be too bothered but it shows a balance of nearly £8500 which would not look good to potential creditors in the future if needed and thats a big IF.
Look forward to your advice.........
Thanks
All done, what a relief!

I would have thought that if it's not been updated since 2005 that it would drop off this year.

However, to be on the safeside you could contact FJ to see if they still have details of the creditors.

It may well do if it's not been updated but I'm not 100% on that. Could Credit Expert tell you if that is the case?
