I have just started down the IVA road and I've joined this site to learn from other people's experiences. [:)]I shall be checking the site regularly for new topics and it will be good to join in conversations with people in the "same boat".

Hello and welome from me too. I only found the site about a year into my IVA. I can't believe how much I didn't know I didn't know when I was starting. Have a read of all the old topics and ask anything that comes to mind. Have you instructed an IP yet? Where abouts in the process are you?

It's going to be through Freeman Jones. I am right at the beginning but so glad to be away from Baines and Ernst who have made my life a misery for the past 8 months. My financial state has worsened since I went on their DMP.

Hi and welcome! I'm 3 months into my IVA and have just found this site, I have learnt so much on here in the last 2 days by reading the posts that has helped me a great deal. I think it will take a while to adjust to the embarassment of being in an IVA but I know this site will be massive help in dealing with it. Good luck on your journey to a better future!

Thank you all for your kind words. My best friends know I am just starting on an IVA and it isn't an issue with them, and I am quite relieved knowing I have taken the steps to do something about my situation rather than pulling my hair out about what to do next.

I'm not embarrassed by being in my IVA. I look at it as a positive step on the road to debt freedom and I'm doing my best to pay back as much as I can.

Non of my friends know anything of my circumstances. Kids know but that's it.
