Blimey BOL, I never had to provide half of that stuff! I sent no utiliy bills, no credit contracts (just the amount owing letters) and no pension info other than that detailed on my payslips. Plus the annual mortgage statement.

It is pretty clear what is required in order to present an IVA proposal properly - and your post does suprise me Jan, but if that was good enough for your IP and they got the IVA accepted then that is perhaps a matter for them. The IVA protocol specifically states what documents need to be examined however.
I've just checked back on the paper work and all I had to provide were three recent payslips, proof of pension received (hubby's) letters and statements from creditors, photocopy of my passport or driving licence. I did have to provide copies of agreements (I had forgotten), mortage redemption statement, settlement figure for the secured loan and a copy of the vehicle registration document.
Nothing else was required at all.

Melanie (or do you prefer Mel) - My concern is that I'm not too sure how much the future childcare costs will be. Strange I know, but let me explain! My partner is a nurse, so one week she may have three shifts Monday to Friday, where we would need the childminders (we have two, one for the youngest, and the before / after school club for the eldest) for three days. The next week we may only need use it twice. The youngest has a fixed contract of two days a week, so we pay that regardless (A monthly fee). And the eldest, we play by ear!
So in a nutshell, I'm not too sure what to present for the best......
I usually cost things on a worst case basis - but let's chat about this when it is time to finalise the proposals, by which time you may have a better idea about things.
Take your time to collate it all Homer, I'm with Mel & team and can't fault them for their customer care, so any help required either give them a ring or a general enquiry do ask on the forum. All the best. x
IVA final payment left the bank on the 26th January 2013...looking forward to a debt free future.
i have my paperwork ready to post tomorrow morning, my new bank account is up and running, transfered my wages yesterday evening leaving just enough in old account to cover direct debits which are coming out tomorrow.
then its in the hands of mel and her team, even though i have been told time and time again they are very good hands to be in, i find it very unsettling not paying my credit cards for the month of march, and am wondering how long before the onslaught of calls and letters from creditors.
and if the IVA doesnt get accepted, well i'd rather not think about that just yet.

IVA accepted 6th May 2011, Full and Final accepted 17th April 2012.
Guys, I know exactly what you mean - I am just waiting on my new account details but have already not paid min payments to a few cerditors today for the first time - and I feel a bit sick too I am going to be sending back my initial paperwork this week too and then its a waiting game. I am so nervous that 1 of my creditors will not accept and with owing them approx £9000 out of my total £23k I am concerned that they can swing the final outcome - but I am trying not to think about that yet...
but I can understand how you both feel and from now on will dread seeing my mobile ring or the post lying behind the door when i get home.
I am finding it hard to stay positive at this stage.

Hi,it's very stressful. i found it very difficult stopping the min. payments but now we've had the IVA accepted (23rd Feb)i'm positive it was the right thing to do,put as much as you can to one side as a emergency fund.(we've had hubby needing a prescription for his back and having to pay to hire a scooter for me today because he can't lift mine at the moment)make sure you're strict with the emergency fund.
it can impact on your health so look after yourselves.
things are under way for you guy's now, hang on in there!
