Sorry I wasn't after specific to me but more generally as I've seen your company mentioned on posts as not listing defaults. Just wondering whether you applied things differently than other creditors.
The road is 72months long starting September 2010.
I am afraid your company is listed on my IVA, and following this route was not an easy thing to decide, but was the best way to ensure creditors were paid as much as possible.
Anyway, well done on "sticking your heads above the parapet", I am sure you will be an asset to the forum.

Luckily Barclaycard your not one of my creditors, but welcome to the forum, but one question why have the 0844 number, i know myself to cut costs just have a mobile phone and to call you would be very expensive a cost many of us could do without.
They have tried to contact me today both on home number and mobile, I was at work and can't always answer my mobile - I have a visa card which I think is affliated with Barclaycard.
I googled the number and it said it was barclaycard.

IVA Accepted 31st March 2011.
IVA Ends 31st March 2016.
Personally guys, I'd prefer to write, there is a record then of everything you've sent to the creditor if anything is incorrect, especially if it is sent recorded delivery.
It's to be appluaded that Barclaycard, although not one of my creditors will change the default date to the date of the IVA agreement. I only hope other creditors do the same once they are informed that information recorded at the CRA is incorrect.
I'd avoid using the phone to correct information on a credit file altogether, writing to the relevent data controller.

Just adding to what Foggy is asking - but also to state this behaviour is nothing new from Mercers - all you have to do is look at a couple of consumer websites - to find that these problems have being going on for years.

I do not think that anyone should be criticising Barclaycard - or any other Creditor - when it comes to their seeking payment.
For goodness sake - we borrowed whatever we owe and we still owe it!! It is perfectly understandable that they - or any other company - seek to get us to repay what we owe. Obviously - once they are informed of any IVA Proposal / Acceptance then this communication should stop.
But - imagine if you leant someone some money and the borrower did not repay it - would you not chase them??
What you say is true, Optimist. And it is not Barclaycard who is at fault (technically). The question here relates to Mercers, who are relentless and sometimes use the "bully boy tactics" often portrayed on american fly on the wall documentaries. They are told, time and time again, of impending IVA's yet still phone several times daily in some cases, and threaten doorstep calls.

I think - in my case - Barclaycard rapidly instructed Mercers - and the debt was then sold onto Max Recovery. Whatever / Whoever - I was not surprised when they chased me and I just informed them of what was going on. I did not - and COULD not - blame them for chasing.
Since my IVA was accepted - more than 4 years ago - I have heard nothing from Max Recovery other than statements showing what they have been paid.
I would never blame creditors for chasing what they are owed.
I was lucky in that I only had a few phone calls and all seemed to listen and / or were very pleasant to deal with. Max Recovery took on a couple of my debts and were as good as gold.

Hi Barclaycard. Welcome to the forum. You are one of my creditors I'm afraid - sorry. I can resist everything except temptation!! I just wonder whether creditors feel they have learnt anything about their lending policies from the rocketing number of personal insolvencies e.g., doubling credit limits without reference to affordability?
Foggy - just to let you know that Mercers is the debt collecting arm of Barclaycard.
