Just to let you know someone from GT has replied to my email saying I need to get evidence from Solicitor that the debt is in joint names, so that they can try and add debt to husbands IVA. I told them I do not see why I should be chaing the solicitor surley it is up to GT to do that. A mistake has been made and I have had enough to deal with and made myself ill already with worry I am not prepared to take a step backwards from my recovery. Is there anymore I can do or tkae this further as I really have had enough now.

I would think the best way to stop the worry would be to contact the solicitor as advised otherwise you will still be in limbo. It may be up to GT to do it(not sure on that one) but if they're not going to do it then why not do it yourself?

I have already contacted solicitor before contacting GT. They said they would request info but probably would not get it and my husband would continue to be persued for the debt. The lady was not very nice and did not seem to give a dam.

What a pain FH - you've had nothing but trouble have you?

I really don't know what to say - I hope one of the experts can come on and advise.

Hi
Drop a letter to the solicitor outlining exactly what you need, state that it has been requested by your husbands Insolvency Practitioner.
Send it recorded delivery

Hi FH,

Good plan from Andy.

The thing confusing me is this...if the creditor cannot evidence it is your husband's debt, how can they chase him for payment?
