Well.....we have successfully had a mortgage application approved and we have had an offer accepted on a house we viewed at the weeknd ! We have had to go with a 50% deposit - but repayments will be same s our rent and in 17 years time we wil be mortgage free !!! So yes...there is life after debt !!

Congrats - when you move you can buy something nice for the house in your "god mother name" - so when you look at it you can remember the times you spent together.
ginger3232 - I already have something in mind to do just that ! Her house sale completed today as well, and I went to the house this morning and had a chat with her to let her know what was happening ! I know she would be extremely happy for us !
