I am in a IVA and due to health problems I am struggling to work my normal shift pattern, my employer of 34 years has created a dayshift role for me but at a reduced salary, I have already had 15% reduction from Payplan, is there anything else they could do to help ?
Ask them and find out, they can reduce your payments further but it would require them going to creditors, but its worth a try,if you dont ask you dont get. You could perhaps suggest a 6 month extension of payments to make up the difference??

Discharged today the 8th feb 2012. View is much brighter now.
Continuing to rebuild our credit worthiness.
I'm sorry to hear about your health but what a great employer you have! Payplan can reduce your payments further with agreement from your creditors. It's definitely worth a chat to your IP or account team.
Let us know how you get on and stick around as someone will definitely have been through a similar situation.

Hi Zimmy. How long have you been in the IVA? If you are nearing the end you might be able to propose a paid to date Full and Final on health grounds.
A word with your IP will help you sort something out. Creditors seem to be sympathetic generally - particularly when we are trying our best in difficult situations as you are.
How much do you feel you could afford to put into your IVA each month and what did you pay originally?

Hi
Originally I paid 340 but was struggling and they reduced it to 290, if I have to take this new job I would only be able to pay around £200
Sorry to hear of your problems, speak to Payplan tomorrow and hopefully Lizzy who posts on here can pick up on it as well.

I'm sure your creditors will see sense and accept a reduction - it is still a good amount for them. Payplan will see you right. They get a lot of positive feedback on here. x
We are already in negotiations with them for the end of the year when my hubby becomes an OAP and his income will drop considerably. Hopefully we will be able to get something sorted out.

I hope everything goes well for you Jan...these things are always stressful but at least you're getting prepared nice and early. I sent off my second year review paperwork and it's nailbiting! I had a huge payrise but my car died and public transport costs have eaten it up and some!! Trouble with spending weekends in the country is that it's taxi taxi taxi when I'm working shifts.
Thank you BOL. Just got to wait now for his OAP pension stuff to come through so we can give them some accurate figures.

Hi Zimmy, I will echo what the others have said so far, speak to your case officer and explain your situation. They will then be able to hopefully call a new meeting with the creditors and propose the new payment. You have serious health issues so it cannot be helped and we certainly wouldn't want you struggling.

This ought to be a simple matter to sort out, with a new income and expenditure being produced based upon your current changed circumstances. Creditor ought to be sympathetic as this has been caused due to events outside of your control.
