If you have to stick with orange then don't upgrade directly through one of their shops.
I upgraded yesterday and was advised by orange that certain phones were not available and the few that I did like were too pricey.
I tried phones4u who were brilliant, all of their phones are unlocked so you can have whatever phone you like.
I managed to reduce my tarrif cost by £20 per month, got a bundle of free accessories,£100 cash for my old phone which mazuma had offered me £20 for and I paid nothing for the new one[:D][:D]

I found with orange tariffs that there is always something missing. i.e the right amount of minutes of texts but no data or vice versa.
Orange advised they don't do bolt on's like t-mobile. This is almost true, they don't do it direct but again through phones4u I got a 500mb data add on for £5 per month.
Always worth a bit of a haggle. I rang Orange to change my number (and contract was up for renewal). Got a Samsung Galaxy for free, minute increased by 400 per month to 1200 and 500mb of internet usage for the same price (£25pcm).
