Hi there,

I'm at the end of '60 month term' now. No one from BlairEndersby has contacted me at all, despites my million requests to speak to my IP (I was never be able to speak to him - not even once since the day one).

According to the proposal I should be releasing £2400 from my property which has gone to negative( or equal) equity.

And as my circumstance has changed I hardly have any diposable money at the moment.

So far I have paid total of £18960 ( of £32000 originally borrowed) with some help from my friends and family members.

What is likely to happen next? Will I be able to speak to my IP before next(and final?) creditors meeting (due in July)?

Is all remaining likely to be written off?

Many thanks
Aran

I understood that BE had been taken over by Grant Thornton, I was also with BE and in my 60th month now, due a variation and it has taken me about 2 months to try and get it sorted out due to the takeover, if you ring BE it should transfer you to Grant Thornton. Then again I may be wrong and maybe some are still with BE.

Blair were indeed taken over by Grant Thornton recently and all queries are now transferred to them.

Thanks Vinnie :)

Some clients of BE were sold to GT as BE was not making enough money(!) and they made some of their team redundant.

There is no land line number to call GT (only-08448552166). And not sure who my new IP is - shouldn't they just let me know and do something for what they are paid for?

My question is what is likely to happen next: is all remaining likely to be written off?

Many thanks

I would ring and ask to speak to the IVA team, admitidly sometimes difficult, but I eventually got a phone call date to go through my I &E for a variation, due to not being able to remortgage. Ours was considerably more than yours and I am not in negative equity, so looking at another 12 months I presume. I also understand from this forum that if you are in negative equity that will be the end of it all done. Good luck and very well done.

Thanks again Vinnie (and live2draft)!

I'll try calling GT again this evening.

And well done for completing IVA :)

-------------------
My understanding is if equity value is less than 5k, IVA not likely to release any from it.

Not 100% equity release is possible.

Not all banks provide remortgage to release any money for whom is or has been on IVA (definitely not Barclays/Woolwich).

Banks which does provide likeley to charge higher interest.

-------------------
Thanks

I think with GT the IVA team only work 9 - 5 and in the evening they just say they will get someone to call you back, which in my experience of the last few weeks is never.

Well guys still I haven't heard any response usefull at all.

Someone from BlairEndersby replied to my email with another promise that someone would come back to me but nothing more - and I'm still waiting.

I'm fedup with waiting.

Kelly promised to get an appointment with my IP and promised to come back to me when I rang Blair Endersby customer service two months ago.

I just need to know who my IP is and their direct contact number and/or email address.

Will someone get back to me?

I'm also worried about money paid to Blair Endersby since 2006. There is no gurantee if they are not going to be another "DCM Money Solutions".

Many thanks

I feel really bad about recommending BlairEndersby in 2006/7.

They were extremly useful at that time and everyone was available - probably were just starting up and badly needed clients.

They are now too busy to care - probably busy with counting their share.

Unless you have completed IVA and are reasonably satisfied, NEVER EVER RECOMMEND BLAIR ENDERSBY

No more recommendations :|

Not sure if Grant Thornton can be anything better but will let you know very soon - just watch out for this space.

Hi Aran - sorry to read that - I know it is frustrating - keep pushing and they will get you sorted asap - I am sure GT are doing what they can and will reassure you once they get to talk to you.

If you visit this link and input GT's details it should tell you the IP's.

I'd contact them via email - one of them will now be your IP:
