Morning Gillian,

I hope you are feeling not so alone today? This forum is excellent for support and advice. we've all had these problems and it is such a relief to be able to talk to someone about them.

You are amongst friends here - we have a great social side as well and have a couple of meetings a year where some of us meet up. I have made some excellent friends on here.

Some of us are friends on Facebook either (no mention of debt at all!!!) If you are on there and would like to be friends and see who you are speaking to then let me know.

So pleased you have been sorted, and that you have been able to gain so much from being part of the forum. I am relatively new to the forum too, and wish I had known about it at the start of my IVA instead of at the end.

Your gratitude to people on the forum is truly evident, and your response has brought a lump to my throat and a tear to my eye. Good luck with the rest of your IVA. There is a definate light waiting at the end of a not so long tunnel now. You will make it, I am sure.

Its funny because you think its only you, and when you come on here you realise its not, I've struggled so much, and its was difficult from the begging, my dad died, my husband left three days later, then I had to take the IVA, but hey, I'm four years (almost) in, going to have a new washing machine, and get my tooth fixed, and even though its raining my world has got far brighter, and yes will make it, oh feel so much more positive now

Gillian - I am so pleased for you. We were discussing your circs last night over a late night ciggie and it's made me more determined to save more as if hubbys van went seriously wrong we would be stuffed!!

Do you pay private for your dental work? Look in the phone book or on line as I know here we have an emergency clinic at the local hospital for people who have no NHS dentists. More money for the washing machine then! And in this day and age I don't think it's worth paying too much for a washing machine. Just get a brand that will last til the end of your IVA!! Do some online comparisoms - I'm sure you'll get a bargain.

As regards dentists - just look up NHS dentist online - we did and found a lot in our area that were taking on new patients. Has to be cheaper than going private.
