Basic bank accounts for people in IVAs ?

I like the fact that I can manage my accounts - it does teach me money management as I have to do it myself rather than rely on someone else.

I recently switched to Secure Trust Bank after speaking with DFD, the original basic account I opened at the start of my IVA didn't do direct debits and I found this a pain - this one does and its great to have this facility back again.

Do you have to pay for that Jackie? If so and Co-op weren't one of your creditors I'd change to them.

They are very IVA friendly, DD's are no problem and you get a debit card.

Thanks Jan, that's great news as I have to pay for my current one. Will check out Co-op as they aren't one of my creditors.
