Hi Stewpots, I'm sorry to hear about the job. Your IP may be able to help with a six month payment break which will give you time to get back on your feet. Definitely give your team a call to see what they can do. Will you be getting any money from your employer? x
Hi Stewpots - sorry to hear about the job- as BOl says speak to your IP - payment breaks are there for a reason and this is a good reason. Good luck finding a new job - try not to get down.

I would recommend you call your IP as soon as you can and explain your situation. There are things that they should be able to do while you look for new employment.
Try not to get down about it, lots of people have been in your situation.

I will do
In 2008 lost a very good paid job and hence eventually went into a IVA. It was hard to get back into work and was even told I was a terrible fork lift truck driver as I tried my hand at everything.
Went all the way back up but didn't see the Politics and sneaky mover. [:(]
I echo what has already been said. I found myself in exactly the same position during my IVA and ended up being allowed a 12 month payment break in the end.
I know what you mean about politics and sneaky movers, I've come across plenty of them. For some reason people like that always seem to get ahead.

Spoke to IP who said potentially could do 6 and not break IVA. Now need to find a job

The guy that joined same time as me in March and same level has now got rid of 3 of us so he can have his own team. Knew his intension re the other 2 but not me as he assured me I was ok.
Thinking of you it's awful when we get back stabbed by people we work with and often trust. I feel for you. Everything is crossed for you that you are able to get back on your feet quickly and you wont need a payment break for too long.

If life is what you make it, I must have been in a strange mood when I made mine

Listen matey What goes around comes around I worked in a place like that a good few years ago life was crap for most that worked there treated people like dirt I didnt care I knew everybody liked me and just ignored them but in the end I had enough and then I was shoved out nobody stuck up for me as they were scared of losing there jobs Now the whole place is being shifted around job cuts redundancies and the ones getting booted out were useless then so how are they going to get a job now with no chums to look after them
So just take care yourself and dont waste time thinking about them or what they did lifes too short. You will get some work stay positive and I was useless when I had a go at fork lift trucks : )
Focus on the getting the IVA sorted and you will get a break for a few months. It will just make you more determined to sort things out and dont get down about it ok chin up etc

I appreciate that
I use to come on here seeing how I could get away by not paying more into my IVA(this job was much better paid then my last) now getting this payment break I see how it works both ways.
