The Ford CD6000 head unit are usually about £40 second hand on eBay. Its dead easy to swap with the little U-shaped tools, no skill required.
I have the tools and will gladly post them to a forum member if they want to borrow them. They are small and light enough to be sent as a standard letter so only the cost of a second class stamp!

Thanks Guys - he is slowly coming round to my way of thinking!...
Just off on a tangent - does anyone know if the AA will tow you a 2nd time from home to a garage? I have the Homestart, relay, roadside cover paying £20 a month but someone in work mentioned that they will only tow you once from home to a garage per year and if you need towed again they will charge! I've tried hunting through the terms and conditions but it made my eyes ache!!!
We had to get towed from the drive in March/April when the same thing happened to the front!
I know someone on here will know the answer!

IVA Accepted 31st March 2011.
IVA Ends 31st March 2016.
I haven't heard of that. I know the RAC threatened to charge me if I called them out again - this was a long time ago and I think 6 times in about 8 months annoyed them a bit!
I'd call them and ask - you don't have to give your details x
I've never heard of that. I know that years ago they got funny if you called them out too many times with the same problem but I never had a problem with fhem.

Thanks Tom or that offer. Believe me I can ruin anything so should probably make ford replace the radio, although I won't pay knowing how easy it is now!

Just a quick up date on my post here & a big thank u to GT.
I recieved a email from GT, My direct debit has been sorted & it's up dated that I've only missed one month now. GT also had my IVA finishing later than it should be, they have investigated & it was a error on BEs part. GT have confirmed in the email that it finishes when I expected - yeah! And they were very apologetic in the email too.
I have to say I'm pleased GT took over my IVA, the unforseen problems I have had since the transfer, they have been brilliant in helping me with the payment break & resolving my issues, it's great having Karol on her too.
So thank you GT, I can concentrate on getting through this pregnancy now x
Final IVA payment made in April 2013, never ever thought we could do it or get through it but we did! X

Hi ginger, I don't mind you asking at all. I'm having quite a rough time with things concerning myself & bump, which is why I've not been on the forum as much as I would like too.
If you go on the social side, I have updated my post baby news & sad news with the latest goings on, just so I don't repeat myself on here!
Thank you for asking x

I am jumping on the car band wagon!!! As those of you who are on my fb will know my car had its MOT yesterday. I had to have 2 new tyres put on on Saturday as I was told it would probably not go through if I didn't.
Then the MOT passed which I was very greatful for BUT it had 2 advisories and I basically need to replace the break disks.
I was wondering where abouts you are Tomoose and if it was anywhere near me I would rather give someone the money that needs it than to a garage that will no doubt rip me off.
If not then I am hoping someone will know of someone. Apparently my break imbalance is also at the highest level and they don't know what it causing that without looking further (I know it isn't the break pads so wonder if the caliber(?) has ceased or maybe it is related to the discs. All I know is that I know b***** all1 about cars and will likely end up getting ripped off!!!
