You ok Vinnie? That's quite a few assumptions to make LOL. Roma will be under as much stress as we all were when we started down this road and needs our support. I can understand your frustration at not receiving the support you felt you needed during tough times but immigration isn't the root of all the government's financial problems. Though we know no more of Roma's background than we do of anyone on here.

I am sorry, but I find Vinnies post / rant offensive. If it weren't for many people "who weren't born here" this country might have become a totally different one from that which it is today, and maybe not for the better!

Many Europeans gave their lives in support of our cause in WWII and, indeed, there were many Polish fighter pilots in the RAF who made the ultimate sacrifice so that we can enjoy our, admittedly imperfect, system of government.

I apologise if this post isn't in the spirit of the forum and will say no more.
My opinions are merely that .. opinions based on experience. Always seek professional advice.

Freedom of speech is fine but we should not be upsetting posters who are looking for advice and support on here.

I completely agree with Foggy's post, and am glad that Roma is still posting on the forum, where we all do want to help you.

Healthy debate is in the good spirit of the forum, but personal attacks on posters, even with full knowledge of their facts, are not.

I act for many clients who come from our overseas former territories and beyond, and am always happy to do so if they need support and assistance.

A quick reminder of the ethos of this forum:
Repect for all
http://iva.co.uk/forum/topic.asp?TOPIC_ID=19592

(If you are unsure about any of these points, the mentors will be only too ready to help)

Generally it means that the moderators will delete any post which is deemed to be unkind, judgemental, obviously irrelevant to the topic or which contains really offensive words or jokes.

In serious and continued contraventions of forum etiquette the poster will be locked out pending a public apology.

I would like to be on the forum - people write about their own experiences with IVA and i think that will be easier to me. However, if my presence really hurt somebody i will respect and not write.

Roma - please continue to write on the forum - as it offers support/frendship and advice on all types of topics.
Whilst discussios on here can get a bit heated at times, racists comments and discrimination is VERY rare.
