Hi,

Payday loan companies now have a provision in the terms and conditions whereby they do not like customers entering into an IVA within 60 days of obtaining the loan.

This might be the reason why they rejected your proposal?
If that is the case it might be worth delaying the proposal a while .... might be an idea to mention this to your IP.
My opinions are merely that .. opinions based on experience. Always seek professional advice.
IVA Completed 23rd July 2013 .... C.C. 10th January 2014

May well be worth delaying it and doing a temporary DMP if they won't play ball.

Given that the terms for the repayment of a payday loan is within one month of the money being lent, it seems very odd that such creditors would take such a view about not supporting an IVA. I have not seen it myself, but have to say we do not seem to have many clients who have payday loans either.

until recently i'd never heard of Payday loans! it seems to be something that's appearing a little more often.

we've also noticed pawn brokers opening up in our local area, also offering to cash cheques for people without bank accounts.

sign of the times??

hope you have good news soon .

I still have not heard from my IP and office will open again on Tuesday now . Yes that's right payday loans are quite new on the scene , Since Bank not lending money ( due to more strict criteria )payday loans getting very popular if you go online you can see every where and even on now on major TV channels as well. My advice for people never take payday loan it is never ending story.I have to go back to work on Wednesday , I hop before that i get good news .

Hi
Please could any body tell me if my iVA is failed, can i go to DMP . My biggest worry is that Payday loans companies would not stop charging interest (£25 per £100 every month and my total debit is around £15000) . in that case i have to pay them thousands of pounds and my loan will be still the same and i never get rid of them .

Yes you can, your company should be able to help you set one up and there is nothing to stop you from trying again for another IVA further down the line.

Hopefully it is not going to come to that.

There is a solution out there for all of us. Some journeys take a few turns but we will all become debt free and you aren't the exception that proves the rule (just in case that's what you're thinking)! Keep faith in your IP and everything will work out xx
