i was with B & E but then money circumstances changed dramatically, i contacted B & E but they said they had a backlog and so i still paid the full amount for another 7 months , then i reduced the amount to half and still no contact from B & E , then a letter from Grant thornton saying they have took over . i haven't paid anything since april 2011 so where do i stand with regards the IVA now ??
You need to call GT as soon as possible and get it sorted as an IVA can be failed if 3 or more payments are missed. Hopefully you still have the money and can make the missing payments by card etc.
I'm sure something can be sorted as this kind of miscommunication from taking over cases must have happened before.

If it is still in your creditors interests for the IVA to continue, and the arrears either dealt with by an extension or written off completely, there may be a way forward for you, and I am glad that you have a meeting lined up with your IP to see if this is possible. Good luck!
hi folks just spoken to GT and after much discussion i am still having to pay the same amount £277. i have requested to see my original proposal paperwork as i have mislaid it so i can study it more carefully. i was advised to propose a 1 year extension to the IVA. confused? you will be after this episode of SOAP.
There must be a discrepancy in how you and GT are arriving at the disposable income figure. How did they justify the figure remaining the same? The extension to recover the arrears is less concerning as that would be pretty standard.
I understand that you spoke to one of our specialist variation advisors on Friday and that the current terms of your IVA envsiage that your monthly contributions are to increase in the very near future and that we are hoping to vary the IVA to keep payments at the current level.
If you have any queries in relation to what is being proposed please do not hesitate to contact us and we will be happy to address any concerns that you have. We will endeavour to give you the best possible advice but it is very important that you understand and are happy with the content of any proposed variation so please get in touch if you want some clarification.
