Sorry, just thrown up with worry.
Taken some more pills (prescribed).
My ip is not very friendly as they have said that they are not pleased that I have been seeking advice from other sources. They will probably hang up on me. I have spoke to them today and they are very offended that I have been seeking further advice. They have stated that they think a 2 year extension may be applied by our creditors or they will force sale of our family home, they say they dont know until creditor meeting.
I have to say the comment from Mr Bluesky was out of order and I would have been offended if it was directed at me.
Paul, I don't know if you are talking to your actual IP or a member of their staff. If it's a member of staff then please make sure you speak to or email your IP directly. No one is going to want to see your IVA fail but you don't need this added stress.
Please keep posting as there's always someone here to offer advice or just for a chat x
It seems your IP is less than sympathetic, Paul, and doesn't understand the needs of his / her clients at all. As Skippy mentions above, have you been speaking to the IP or one of the staff (who sometimes could benefit from some re-training!).
My opinions are merely that .. opinions based on experience. Always seek professional advice.

You are free to seek advice from wherever you wish! I'm astounded that your IP or their staff try to limit where you seek advice from, especially when their advice makes you physically ill!
You are entitled to seek advice from anywhere you want and a decent Ip will not mind that.
I wish you would tell us the name of the company.

I can fully understand you not wishing to name your company, as your details are quite specific. I am just hoping this is some smaller company so that not too many are subjected to this attitude.

I'm just curious to know who it is. The advice does not appear to have been good so far.

Paul my question was in relation to what your IP suggested you were according to your post, and this was the specific reason you would,nt divulge the name of your IP company. The reason i asked the question was to give you the confidence to ask and mention any names that are acting on your behalf, who should be looking after your interest in your iva as they are bound to by the law.My experience with a iva and what i have learnt on this forum suggests to me that a 2 year extension is a rare variation that people in iva,s experience.Since you have answered the question,I see no reason why you can,t name your IP company. My question was to encourage you and give you strength, not to upset ,i,m sorry.

What you should have done Ronald was just ask Paul to name the company or just make some comments about the other information in the post.
Posters don't have to mention the company. I would love to know who it is but I won't push for it.
We have no idea how a poster is going to react to a comment like that.
Thank you for your apology.

I cant name my IP as I cannot prove that I have been mislead by them, it would be slander. MRBLUESKY you have not upset me, I have lost track who asked me if i was a liar. It is a small company of chartered accountants and they were referred to me by CCCS. Their last words to me on the phone today was in their professional opinion if I cannot raise £70,000 in re-mortgage then they think a 2 year extension would be sought meaning a 7 year IVA? but our creditors could choose to make us bankrupt as we have enough equity in home to settle. they said we could go in to rented acommadation, sorry cant spell to good at mo.
