Gavin, welcome to the forum. I am so sorry to hear your news and hope that you can recover from this.

You need to speak to your IP as soon as possible and see whether or not your creditors will agree to closing your IVA with the payments to date.

We have had other posters who have managed to do this so hopefully you can do this.

Hi
Welcome to the forum and sorry to read of your news.
Speak with your actual IP as soon as you can. If your income drops and the payments are no longer possible I am sure that your creditors will agree to accept payments made as full and final and conclude your IVA

Hi Gavin as above please speak to your IP as soon as is physically possible to try and sort this out, I hope that your treatment and early retirement go well. Good luck for the future.
Om shanti, namesté, good luck to all who are embarking on the IVA journey, it isn't always an easy one but the outcome is the best.

IVA COMPLETED August 2012, received Completion certificate 18.4.13.

Hi Gavin - So sorry to hear of your situation, I'm sure your creditors would look sympathetically towards you given the circumstances and as the others have said you should speak to your IP as soon as possible. I sincerely hope that your treatment goes well and that you can soon be on the road to a full recovery x

What terrible news Gavin - let's all hope that you get the necessary treatment soonest and make a full recovery.

Once you are unable to work, I am sure that creditors will allow the IVA to conclude on the basis of payments made to date - however in the meantime you should alert your IP to the fact that you may need to eventually leave work but will maintain your payments to the best of your ability until that time.

Welcome to the forum and very sorry to read of your sad news.
As others have said your creditors will hopefully accept your payments to date when the time comes and you can no longer fund your IVA - speak now to your IP and inform them, and they will then work with you make the proposal to creditors.
