Well it is strange we are all getting these letters before our names are removed off the register, and often before we even have our completion certificates!! but around the time our completions take place! someone seems to be notifying the junk mailers!

Must admit that I'd not heard of these sort of letters being sent out before this week. Silly thing is though that they haven't a clue if you have a pension or not!!

I have just done my daily check of the insolvency register - hooray! our names have disappeared - went in a couple of times just to make absolutely sure.

You did say it could be quicker Jan, that makes just over 3 weeks since completion not 3 months as quoted - now I think that may just call for another celebration!

I hope the others on this thread who are still waiting to come off there will soon have the same result.

I was not with DFD, but they got my details. They subscribe to the Insolvency Service and they send them files of everyone in a iva / br.

They used a old list and did a mailmerge on it.

Great news to hear that you are off the register! Just thought we'd check our names and we are now off too! Woohoo!
It's been a long road getting from there to here but it's been worth it!

Hi Rosepetal
I received my completion cert at beginning of March and the Insolvency register had a note on saying the I would stay on for three months from the date of issue. I think it was because I completed a F & F. I came off at the beginning of June. Have you checked to see if there is a note against your name??

Hi Rosepetal
The note was near the bottom of the page. I am doing really well thanks, I cannot believe the changes that his year has brought in my life, and it all began with my IVA last October when I used my pension lump sum for a F&F. I am comfortably living on a pension and for the first time in my life am living on a budget and saving money. Who says you can't teach an old dog new tricks!!

I know what you mean about never again...I have recently been on holiday having saved really hard and brought back 2/3rds of my spending money, I was loath to spend it as remembered how difficult it was to gather ... and didn't want to waste it on tat!!!

i know what you mean, we went away in August, breakfast &eve meal were in the price,we just ate a big breakfast, took a flask, fruit&biscuits to go with our coffee (coffee, milk&sugar in 1 pack £1.00 for 10 in £land). the coffee break in the afternoon put us on until tea time. very cheap n cheerful,we enjoyed it.

my hubby would never have taken a flask before the IVA.
we brought cash home too.

glad you're doing so well now.
