Hi Jayla I'd email Declan again to make sure it has gone. We were with DFD and honestly can't fault them they have been fantastic for us, especially Declan. Best wishes

Just checked the insolvency register and I'm still on there I'm afraid.

Yes it is one of those jobs where they do background checks on you like a credit check and a criminal record bureau check. The job is subject to you passing these checks.
I'm actually quite lucky, they would normally just say no because of the IVA but as I made the last payment 5 months ago they are taking that into consideration.

I asked if a call to DFD would suffice but they said NO!

Well and truly, I just need the completion cert ASAP. I've been told that DFD are chasing up the creditors for their final claims but they are allowed up to 12 weeks to submit them.

Surely, your IP should know that your IVA is coming to an end so chasing up creditors should be happening prior to your final payment not 5 months after.

Just feels like, if it ain't one thing, it's another!

I have mixed opinions about DFD. I asked for a payment holiday for 1 month about two years ago and the guy on the end of the phone was so degrading towards me. I had to ask to speak to someone else as I didn't feel I should be spoken to and treated the way he had treated me. It was quite bad.

I just find that they are very bad at communicating and everything seems to take forever.

I'll try emailing Declan again. Don't want to seem like I'm badgering but ultimately, I suppose I am!

Keep pushing Jayla - just let them know that you need this certificate in order to get your new job.

Email your IP directly, they have the authority to speed things up. Get their details off the IS register and contact them that way

I hope you can get this sorted out Jayla - it's so unfair that you might lose the job because of this. Fingers crossed Declan can help x

Thanks mattyboy and kallis3. Just gone through my paperwork to find out I have joint supervisors. Found their details on the IP register and just fired off an email to them both.

Fingers crossed!

Can someone from the admin side alert Declan to this post. I am sure he would be able to escalate matters if her was aware of the facts in Jayla's case.

Morning All
Firstly - thank you Jan for alerting this to me. If there is a posting that i need to attend to - please do prompt me (or kick me!), with work commitments it can be hard to fit the forum in but I’m always eager to keep an eye on it.

Jayla - I did indeed get you email but unfortunately it was only yesterday when I got the chance to read it. What im going to do is email you back with my suggestions and what I will try and do for you. I can’t make any promises and i definitely do not want to build up your hopes too much but i appreciate the situation you are in and what it means so please bear with me.

Thanks

Got an email this morning from one of my IPs who said that he would look into it for me and that someone would come back to me with a closure date.

Guess I've got to hang on again. Just wish I knew what stage they were at and what they were actually doing right now. :-(
