Hi Starman - as Foggy points out not all IPs work the same but good Ips always try and ensure their clients are in a manageable IVA that reflects their circumstances and takes into account any necessary changes. They will not want a client to be struggling or to have an IVA fail unnecessarily so should work with you to address issues as they come up.
It sounds like the lady you are dealing with is doing her best but if you are concerned or would like to speak to the person she is asking her information from you have every right to make that request to put your mind at rest.
Hope you get things resolved soon.

Well to end this saga..
I was hoping to receive a letter from the IVA company explaining my situation and basically allowing me to go ahead with car finance. The letter was the opposite and went into detail about without a meeting with creditors they would be in breach of the IVA..
Which is completely True, i was just hoping the IP could swing something my way.
The Finance company did not accept the letter so i now have to wait for a meeting to take place.
I have no idea what i will do during this period.
The one thing i must say is how dissapointed i am with the IP. I totally understand the rules and the risk of breaching the IVA but as i mentioned in a previous post, the general attitude was disgusting - they sounded too busy, had no compasion whatsoever, and did not give any advice about my situation and even commented - "oh! we've never had this situation before"!
Maybe i was naive when i went into the IVA but the whole thing has scared me that these people can literally control your life and decide your financial movements and what you can/cannot do in life..
Sorry to read its not going your way Starman - has your IP suggested something as an interim position whilst a car is sorted? Have they given any indication of what kind of monthly payment could be acceptable by creditors? Could your employer do something via your wages but at a lower cost, I'm not sure what IVa payment you are making so unsure what amount would fall into any 15% amendment possibility.
It would be such a shame for an IVA to fail down to an essential need causing a problem - if you can't travel you can't earn - lets hope they can work with you to find a solution.
Best wishes,
