Hi Aran & welcome back to the forum,
I'm sorry to hear of your difficulties & can only imagine how frustrated to are. We now have a representative from GT on the forum called Karol, I'm hoping she will pick this up.
Thanks Lyns
And Thanks Karol
Karol just spoken to me - it seems like the transfer wasn't really smooth from BE to GT. And GT still working on their backlog.
It will be just waiting game for me.
Thanks for all for your support - I'll update you guys on hearing any.
Glad Karol got in touch and I hope you hear sometbing soon.

Glad you've been contacted Aran - I know from some of the posts on here that GT had quite a time dealing with the handover and are still resolving things as a result so I am sure it will be ok in time to come.

I was ex-BE and got my completion certificate from GT 6 months exactly after my final payment having had to chase them continually during that period.
My experince with BE was that they generally responded quickly but were totally incompetent.
My experience with GT, relates purely tothe closure process.I would have to descibe the customer service experience as appalling. I was sent a customer satisfaction survey along with my completion certificate but i felt unable to return it as there was no option to give a negative score. That and the fact that the "enclosed prepaid envelope" for me to return it in had not been enclosed. You might have thought that after extracting £18k in fees from my IVa for dealing with the last 6 months that they could have afforded a stamp !!
In all seriousness though, if you are having problems with GT then you should "Call Karol" .

Hi vince666,
Really appreciate you assistance
I joned this forum last year when I hit brick wall, while my account was sold to GT from BE.
Thanks to Karol who actually helped me and assisted me upto this point. But I really want my Completion Certificate.
I cannot see any valid reson for this to be still out standing since last July - 2011.
My worst fear is GT going into administration with all my money before paying them out to my creditors.
Hate to say this Vince but if you want to edit a post after someone else has posted, can you start a new post?
It does cause some confusion for people looking in.

No worries - don't worry about the punctuation - mine isn't that brilliant at times.

IP firms should certainly be properly resourced to take on the cases and run them correctly. GT have an excellent reputation for quality work generally, and I guess with all firms there will be a few cases which may not be run to their client's satisfaction, but on the whole my undertanding is that they have an efficient and well run operation generally.
From what I can tell, most people's complaints about GT revolve around their attitude towards the closure process.
Leaving aside the recent issues with the Paymex VAT case and PPI claims, GT seem to think that 6 months is an acceptable timescale to close cases.
Most other firms seem able to close cases significantly quicker than this.
In my opinion 6 months is excessive and I struggle to see how it can possibly comply with SIP3 which requires an IP to conclude his administration as expeditiously as possible.
I don't recall reading a single post from someone that has had a positive experience of the closure process with GT. It's something they really should address.
