It varies from person to person - what is bad for one is not always bad for another.

I must have been lucky got one call from egg I told them I was entering an IVA and gave the details to the lady on the phone, never had anything from them since. Lloyds again took all the details of my IVA and that was it from them, my credit report shows settled as well with Lloyds. My wife got pestered by her store card company until we exhausted their complaints procedure and threatened the next step of seeking compensation from them via the ombs, her store card debt was less than £900.
Last Payment made 04/12/14. Completion Certificate 25/7/15. IVA company GT. No Issues
Bank of Scotland and Nationwide were the worst for me. Bank of Scotland called constantly everyday and were very agressive in trying to get money out of me, they had me in tears several times. I had my current account with Nationwide with a large-ish overdraft, they were very quick in trying to issue a CCJ and wouldn't accept I was going into an IVA until it actually started.
MBNA never bothered me once and I owed the most to them
On the other hand Nationwide were awful, calls on home phone at 8am everyday then when that went unaswered they immediately called my mobile. HOWEVER they were brilliant once the IVA went through! The IVA is in my name but the overdraft is joint. My husband doesn't work due to a disability, so he only has DLA & Incapacity benefit and we wrote explaining this and offering a small monthly payment for the overdraft, they wrote back and said they wouldn't pursue him for it, even my IVA company were bowled over by that! So terrible on calls but sensible & understanding in other areas!

Mercers were my worst nightmare!!! Constant calls which I ignored.

I had relentless calls from egg and even when our IVA was approved they sent us a letter with IVA in thick huge black letters scrawled on the heading of the letter that you could see from the window of the envelope so everyone could see it! I was not amused!
Mercers for barclaycard were pretty threatening too and trying to convince us not to go down the IVA route, pay them instead of our other creditors etc etc
That is awful Lem! Although saying that - I could tell from some of the envelopes what they were by the word default in bold black showing through the envelope.
I just hope that my postman had so many letters to deliver he didn't have time to look at them all!
Mercers were strangely ok with me but probably because by the time they got involved my IVA had been approved. The guy wished me well and apologised for Barclaycard referring it to them after the IVA acceptance.
MBNA were my worst by far and they voted against. HBOS were really supportive who i owed 50% of my total debt too. Egg were pretty uninterested a couple of phone calls and standard letters. Next never rang and only sent statements. LLoyds, again, only sent statements. It seems a long time ago since I had that fear of a statement arriving or a phone call.
Barclaycard were bad for me even before Mercers got involved. The last call I had though was on the day my IVA got accepted and I've had nothing from them since.
