Apologies for bumping up my own topic, but I notice Karol has been on the forums and commented on other topics over the past two days but not this one... I kind of hoped the subject would enable her to see it easily...

Have you emailed Karol directly?

Yes Kallis I emailed at the weekend, but have had no response, however I notice that so many of us are awaiting closure that I felt a simple straightforward question regarding their closures might help more people.

To be fair to Karol - she is always very good at picking up emails from forum members so if she has been away today, you can be sure she will answer you tomorrow.

I don't believe it is up to Karol to respond, this needs to be answered in a statement from GT. It maybe relayed via Karol but I doubt she is in such a senior position as to make a public statement.
Last Payment made 04/12/14. Completion Certificate 25/7/15. IVA company GT. No Issues

Perhaps it isn't but as she is the only rep from GT on here then she should be able to get some answers and be able to post them on here.

I don't really care who responds as long as someone does, however I see that someone from GT has been posting today and yesterday so even if Karol is on holiday, somebody there is logging in.....

Karol is very much in a position to make a statement on behalf of Grant Thornton, if such statement is necessary. I will try and contact one of the GT partners to see if they are prepared to comment globally on this issue which is causing so much concern for many of their clients who are posting on the forum.

It is now 20 weeks since GT received my payment that should clear my IVA as agreed by the creditors. I posted on here earlier this month that GT were not keeping me informed of any progress. On November 2nd I was told it was being handled by the Closure Team but since then I have heard NOTHING AT ALL. Karol picked up on my post and emailed me on 17th Jan to say she would investigate my case and give me an update shortly. Ten days later and I am afraid I am still waiting!!!It appears because of our financial problems we are not treated as clients and as customers should be.

It seems like quite a lot of us are extremely disappointed with Grant Thornton's service at the moment.

I have heard from Grant Thornton to advise that they have taken further advice from the IPA regarding closures and the HMRC issue. They are unable to progress closures until they have further guidance which they are hoping to receive soon. I am very grateful for the call and I am sure that further information will be posted on this forum as and when it is available.

Bit of repeat and sure you are all be sick of me posting this but here is where I am now after 2 months of recieving my completion certificate.

Last payment 26th November 2011, Completion Certificate 12th December 2011

20th December gets gift of £2000 from Mother
End January 2012 gets £120 per month pay rise and a one off £1000 bonus.

Above is all mine to keep.

For anyone else in an IVA who has not got there completion certificate due to these delays even though you have met you obligations and paid your last payment, you have no choice but to declare the above and potentially lose a substantial amount of it.

Very sad.
