My experience as well. Promised me an update "very shortly" back on 17th of Jan and I have still heard nothing from them.

It's frustrating beyond belief. I wouldn't mind half as much if GT told me there was a delay that was actually specific and relevant to my case, but just to be told generically that closures are currently taking 6 months is in my opinion unacceptable, and leads me to the conclusion that the real reason for this timescale is insufficient staffing levels.

My IVA was closed with GT 4 months ago and I also have a certificate of completion.

Alas, my iva journey is still not over.

I am still being chased by CDCS on behalf of barcalys for 10k, I get on average 2 to 3 calls per day regarding this.
I have explained approx 50 times now that they were one of my creditors and are listed on my completion cert with the relevant agreement numbers.

I have tried and tried to contact GT customer services, but their new phone service only lets you stay on hold for a short while then diverts you to an answerphone. I have left numerous messages but had no reply.

I'm afraid I would have to agree with all the negative comments regarding their customer services team.

No idea where I'm gonna go with this, CDCS are telling me that I need to contact GT ( if only), or they will proceed with further action.

what number are you using for GT? I call 08448 552166. I normally get to speak to someone eventually on that number, not that it does a great deal of good !!

As for CDCS, next time they call tell them you will report them to the Office of Fair Trading if they don't stop harassing you.

That's a good one!!

Another day passes and still no call from Karol, despite me sending yet another email this morning.

I think I'm left with little choice but to write a formal letter of complaint to my Supervisor, who is a partner at GT. Maybe he will at least have the courtesy of acknowledging my existence.

I can understand all the anxiety on here about GT. However, I feel I must stick up for Karol here. I appreciate she hasn't replied to many, but we don't really know the reasons why.

Karol has been a valued poster for many on here and maybe if people are not receiving a response from their IP team, then complaints should be made now to the company rather than relying on Karol to answer everything.

Sorry if that sounds harsh to anyone but I'm sure you will all understand that she is doing us a favour by trying to help as many people as she can on here. With the PPI and the Vat problems maybe she's just too busy with her job to help.

I totally agree Kazza. Neither Karol or GT have to post on here. It is purely voluntary and Karol has helped a lot of posters on here.

Perhaps it is time for people to complain directly to the company and go through the internal complaints procedure.

Perhaps, as Kazza says, she and her department are inundated with work at the moment.

I accept that, but if you are going to publicly state that you will contact people then you should do it

That's exactly what I intend to do

That does not absolve them of their duty to close cases in an expeditious manner

No, but it may well explain why she isn't posting on here at the moment.

The reason Karol is so busy is clearly down to poor backup from her firm. If people could actually get the answers they needed directly from GT then she wouldnt be getting as much grief.

She does a fantastic job and people should be mindful that she is one person in a very big company.

I think we should also be mindful of the fact that she is not personally responsible for everybodies cases and therefore not aware of the intricacies of every case. Karol, in her turn, also has to await responses from those that do handle the individual cases, the speed at which they come back to her being out of her hands.
My opinions are merely that .. opinions based on experience. Always seek professional advice.
