I was awake at 3.30 to loose dogs out this morning and was still awak at 5 but wouldn't dream of having my phone or the computer on. I just lie there. If I'm still awake when it gets light then I will lie there and read a book.

But if it happens night after night then it gives me something to do and keeps my mind off things that are obviously worrying me!

I just lie there, only time I get up is if the dogs want to be loosed out and then it's straight back to bed. I'm always up by about 7.30 though regardless as dogs won't let me sleep any longer!!

My dogs go out when I let them out to be fair, they're quiet happy just being lazy. They let me know if they want to go out but my hubby swears they know when it's a weekend as all week they're out by 7:20 when he leaves for work and at the weekend they'll sleep in until 10am some mornings!

Ours know when I get up for work but otherwise it's always about 7.30. They know when feeding time is, when they need to go on another walk and what time they are due a treat. Otherwise they are pretty good.

I'm a cruel dog owner. Hubby got up and went fishing at stupid o'clock, I assumed (wrongly) he'd fed them, come dinner time I went outside and they looked at me as though eh up it's breakfast...I text hubby and he confirmed he hadn't fed them so good job I noticed or they'd be starving by now!

He generally does it (I think) or how many times has he gone fishing and I've not fed them! He's just come home and I've told him in future he leaves me a note as I don't think!

Is that Apple or Sky animaleyes?

I love the CD in the car at the moment.
Apple Jan,

don't get me wrong, i admire their ability to market a product with a screen and processor change and be able to sell it to the masses as a "new innovative product" rather than a slight upgrade but I can't stand the Apple "religion" and all the way Apple locks you into their whole ethos with iTunes etc.

Not for me i'm afraid..

Completely agree Animaleyes. As I said if I could have found an MP3 player with a big enough hard drive I wouldn't have bought the iPod. I rarely download from iTunes as I don't want to give them any more of my money!
