Thanks Badly and yes if it is your personal inheritance it goes to the IVA but the inheritance was my mums so with some savings too she was able to raise enough funds to pay the IVA, we were not in a position to, hence we were in the IVA, sorry if my post wasn't clear!! I am eternally grateful to my mum....

I do not want to go into too much detail as its still so raw but basically we wrote to our IP as I have had a very difficult time and my husbands work etc (like everyone has changed due to the recession) I think the creditors agreed that having some money was better than risking the IVA to fail, as we were unsure of work situation etc in the future!

Overall I just wanted (although I have been left a long fight ahead to get myself back on track) there is light at the end of the tunnel!

Thanks and good luck x

This is good bye and thank you I am afraid, It has been so hard, yes I am delighted that we are through it, but sadly it has come at a cost to my health, which I really want to try to improve. Starting afresh means leaving all this behind so GOODBYE AND THANK YOU AND GOOD LUCK TO ALL XXX

Whoopa - why don't you wish to carry on posting? Your experiences would be good for other posters.

If you really don't wish to carry on then you just stop posting. You don't need to close your account.

To be honest, I had a complete breakdown over this and I still worry dramatically about everything, money included I just need (for my sanity) to leave this all behind, maybe in years to come when I feel able I might come back, I would love to have the strength and courage to hang around but at the moment I have a small family who need their mummy back and I need to get myself back on track and away from all things worrying! Selfish perhaps but necessary!

I wish you luck for the future and the forum is always here for you, not always for debt as we have a great social side as well. You're not selfish at all and your family should always come first.

Your account will be open if you decide to post again.
