That's a very strange one. If something has happened then they need to tell you what it is.

Agreed. It was so frustrating on the phone, I said to him that he had in his possession a legal document that showed that i had fulfilled my obligations, but he couldn't tell me what "it" was that had happened. But I have had the same experience with Metropolitan as well, several phone calls, all the same outcome. They agree that they don't understand why they should be chasing it but still they come.

What to do ??

I really don't know what to say. You could try cab and see if they can help you.

I am most frustrated with DFD, they dealt with the IVA well but I have just been abandoned to deal with this myself.

What idiots! Probably chasing because the computer says so; have the you asked the people on the phone to speak to someone with authority to remove you from their system?

Yes I have. Most of the calls follow the same pattern. They speak to a supervisor, tell me they don't know why they are chasing the debt but something must be wrong so they keep chasing. Like I say though my requests for assistance from DFD have been ignored.

Time for you to get in touch with the financial ombudsman I reckon:

To be fair to DFD, their responsibility ends once they have issued the completion certificate. I think before you go to the FSA you need to have made a written complaint to the harasser. Have you done this yet?

Hi All
This is rather unusual for claims to still be chased at this stage. Once your IVA is completed, certificate issued then that’s the legal end of your IVA. GZZB, I can help with this but in reality all we can do is issue the certificate to advise the IVA is satisfactorily completed which we have done. If you would like my assistance, let me know.

Thanks

Hi,

I had a problem with HSBC at the end of my IVA, the came in with a claim against a business PG which meant I had to introduce 3rd party funds, it does however mean that they can no longer pursue the balance. I fully expect them to surface for the balance at some point and will be happy to go to court when they do. Your completion cert means that you are totally bullet proof. You would also have grounds to claim compensation.

I would love this to happen as I do love a battle when I know I am totally covered by the completion certificate. It's good of Declan to offer to help as it is definitely not the IP's job to help once the completion certificate is issued.

I would love a trip to court, then maybe request compensation for expenses, stress and harassment!

Firefox - I think I have a similar issue as I had a business PG and even though they are chasing the other accounts, I think its the way they have allocated it and its the PG that's kicking in.

With regards the court battle - I have to be honest and say I cant be bothered with the grief. I wont make any money out of it and it would just serve to distract.

I would also comment on one of the previous postings and say that, in my opinion if DFD have not done there there job properly in terms of notifying the right people that the issues have been sorted then they have an absolute responsibility to clear up that position. I'm not quite sure where you think the responsibility should land. Should it be with me ?
