I wasn't saying that it was something I had done/would do myself, as my IVA has ended any way (well, just waiting for the completion certificate). I was just curious as to whether it *could* happen, as I'd read a post on another thread, whereby the debtor said that the Citizens Advice Bureau had intimated to him that he could claim PPI for himself once he was out of his IVA.
I wonder if anyone out there has made any PPI claims for themselves once their IVA ended? (and their IVA had ended BEFORE the debt management companies started instructing their debtors to make PPI claims). Just pondering [:)]
I fear that there would be a high likelyhood of the creditor contacting the IP, even after closure, regarding payment of a PPI claim ... and as said .. the fan would be in the firing line for what's possibly going to hit it.
My thoughts ( and my plan before this all reared it's ugly head) was to draw a firm line under the whole sorry issue once my IVA had completed. I am on line to get something like £20,000 written off (without totting up the interest I am no longer getting stung for), so feel that to make a claim post IVA wouldn't sit right with me. But, each has to decide for themselves where their thoughts are on this.
My opinions are merely that .. opinions based on experience. Always seek professional advice.
IVA Completed 23rd July 2013 .... C.C. 10th January 2014
