It isn't very often that they get rejected and normally when it does happen the IP's are able to negotiate with them and get the decision overturned.

As luluj posted, it's rare creditors reject proposals.
They generally accept what is, after all, the best they are going to get out of the situation.

Your IP will draft a genuine and honest proposal of what you can offer and your creditors will know that, come the day of your creditors meeting.

Hi, We've signed the proposals and our IP is just waiting to hear from us when my wages are safe (hubbys are now safe thank god!) in a new bank account then they can arrange the creditors meeting so hopefully not too far away.

Just spotted your post Corfu - Jan says hi and the dogs are all snoozing after their breakfast!!

Shouldn't be long now then - once your wages are safe the meeting will probably be a couple of weeks after that.

hi Tracey it is encouraging to read of others approvals, ours was approved yesterday and if you see my previous post I was so apprehensive re our dividend and was a bag of nerves yesterday but all came good. I had been trawling this site for weeks looking for reasons for rejection etc but as others have said your IP would not put forward a propsosal if they didnt think it was in yours and your creditors best interests. Good luck with your meeting etc you'll soon be on here posting your "YESSS" too keep us informed

This forum is full of people who thought their proposal would be turned down [:)]. Keep up the positive mental attitude. X

Tbsk06 - congratulations!!

I think, as BoL says, most, if not all, of us thought we'd be the ones to be turned down! When I got my date I just kept my head down and stayed busy .... only time the house was clean from top to bottom (normally it's like the Forth brige ... by the time I tidy the last room, the family have destroyed all the others again !!!!
My opinions are merely that .. opinions based on experience. Always seek professional advice.

Jan's was the problem one, it was by no means certain but Payplan told us that mine would go through no problem.

She book the day off work and then we both sat there in the afternoon waiting for the phone to ring!!

We both took the day off and hubby's went through 100%, mine had one rejection but it made no difference to the outcome as it was a small debt in comparison.

Great feeling when you've had the call but the waiting for it can be a nervy time. x
