How long does a name stay on the insolvency register once an IVA is completed, does it come off automatically or do you have to contact them?

Hi! I am led to believe that it should come off pretty much straight after completion but hopefully one of the experts will be able to confirm x

Yup it should come off just after you receive your completion certificate.

It shows as satisfied but can stay on there for 3 months.

Mine dropped of within 2-3 weeks even though they state it will remain there for 3 months on there website. Very strange and no idea of the logic they use.
Last Payment - November 2011 - Completion Certificate received 2 weeks after last payment, Removed from Insolvency Register within 4 weeks after last payment.

Hi, we received our certificate 2 days ago, i rang the Insolvency Register Line this morning to ask how long our names stayed on, the lady said upto 3 months, i checked the register later this afternoon and our names have been removed, so in our case it took 2 days. Good luck.

Sorry, to answer your other question, it's done automatically, i think your ip sends the relevant paperwork to the registrar, this is what happened in our case anyway.

Yes they do Andy - I think it may depend on how much of a backlog the service has.

Its quite strange how some are removed much quicker than others.
I wonder if it makes a difference with which court was used?

Mine stayed on 3 months to the day of my F&F meeting, and I was under the impression that it was F&F that stayed on for 3 months and 'normal' IVA's came off much sooner...

I think I clicked on report something on my own entry or something like that to say it had been completed and within 24 hours it had been removed.

Mine was removed within a couple of days. Maybe it makes a difference whether you do the full IVA term or do an F&F? But that is anyone's guess, probably down to who is working and what mood they're in.
