Can't do anything other than wait!
Hi all not really a question just relieving some stress! We sent our request to DFD yesterday to use payments to date as F&F payment, now it's a waiting game.
Declan's been great, but the outcome could be bitter sweet as my wife and I are seperating. As I potentially get over one period of my life I wish to forget, the next door to unhappiness opens.
Just wanted to say to everyone in an IVA, there is light at the end, the experts on this site are absolutely brilliant. If things get to the point you can't talk to friends or family, talk on here. Everyone here has your best interests at heart and will offer impartial and honest advice.
However tough it gets, and I've been there and going into more, chin up, keep your health and talk!!
Now I have to wait so send me some good luck!!!

Hi Pennyless,
Thanks for your support, the reason we are asking to end IVA is to save our deposits for rent, and we couldnt afford the IVA on our seperate wages after rent / bills / child allowance etc.
Unfortunately there is no patching up, 19 years together 10 married, not a happy time in my life

Been through a few rough patches myself (none more than the last 2/3 years) with my wife during our 27 years marriage......but if she walked out the door tommorrow I'd still class her as my best friend to tell the truth.
The way I see it is life is too short for either of us too be unhappy to the extent that one should make the other feel unhappy to the extent that we wouldn't or couldn't live together....but as I say that doesn't mean we couldn't remain friends....and I'd never say never too not patching things up....times/people change.

When you make a mistake, don't look back at it long...the past cannot be changed. It is the present and future that counts
