Have you had the forms from EIF? If so then just scrawl across them 'No PPI' and send them back.
Get on to Payplan and tell them you have no PPI and ask where your certificate is.

Iaronshove, I'm not surprised you're confused. I think Harpic may have missed that you already have claims going through. What you need now is clarification from Payplan as they're holding all the cards. Insist on written confirmation of the fees that will be deducted if your claims are successful, what Payplan's cut of this may be, what money will be going to the creditors and what money will come to you. Also insist on a date for receiving your completion certificate and confirmation that it is or is not dependent on the progress of your claims. Don't be fobbed off. You're entitled to this information and you should persist until you get it or make a formal complaint. Please report back.

Apologies, I did miss that.
I think that fees will be deducted, OP should be able to access Payplan Plus and it does explain about the PPI claims process on there.
I think it will be dependent on the claims but laronshove needs to speak to her case officer to find out exactly what is happening.

Harpic, I think the problem is that he already has spoken to his supervisor and the answers don't sound right or consistent with the delay in getting his certificate. He now needs something in writing that he can hold Payplan to and at least discover what the bottom line is. At the moment he's expecting a certificate and cash - neither of which may turn up any time soon - or at all in the case of the cash he thinks may be due .

Iaronshove, suggest you e-mail Payplan tomorrow - repeatedly if necessary, and ask ALL the questions. As you say, how can payments to creditors still be going on 4 months after you made the last payment into the account !it does sound like this may be being kept open to allow for PPI refunds. Have you had any progress reports on those claims - again, if not why not. Remember , they are YOUR claims and the claims handler has a responsibility under MOJ rules to keep you updated.

I think you may find it's the other way round ie you aren't finished until you get the proof. I hope at that point you get the money you're expecting. You need to get written confirmation from Payplan of what your understanding is by asking clear questions without delay and before it's too late.

I think you'll find that the money will be payable to the IVA pot if your completion certificate hasn't been received. If your IP discovers you have made a PPI refund claim during the IVA they could still ask for the money even if the completion letter has been issued.
Just so you know the possibilities!

Iaronshove, I have been in exactly the same situation as you, I'm with Payplan, made my final payment on Feb 1st, after which I began PPI claims myself - not through EIF. I have been made two offers, and both said they would be contacting my IP to see how they wanted the money distributed. One actually said they would be writing the cheque out in my IP's name! I contacted my case officer to see what would happen, as I am also awaiting my completion certificate. My case officer told me the money was mine to keep as the delay was only down to the VAT issue. This soinded too good to be true, so I kept enquiring.....anyway I am pleased to say my case officer contacted me last week to say one of the claims had been paid to Payplan and if I emailed my bank details the money would be transferred to me immediately. I did that and the money arrived in my account today - every single penny of the claim! So hang in there, as soon as your creditors get it sorted you should be eligible for a payout. I know a lot of people take the view that morally the money should be given back to the creditors to give them a better dividend, but here's a thought.... had reclaiming PPI been as well known about 5 or 6 years ago, and I had made a claim then ( pre- IVA), the amount I would have been awarded would have allowed m to pay a good chunk of my debt off and I wouldn't have had to do an IVA in the first place! So do I feel guilty that global companies who knowingly missold me PPI causing my debt to spiral further aren't getting it back of me again? In a word, NO!!

Kazzafunk is right and this why you must get your Supervisor at Payplan to confirm or correct what you've been told - in writing. Please let us know how you get on.

Well done jmm78 on getting to keep the money. I would say however that this may not be the way every IP deals with this as this is an asset available to the pot.
In my opinion to expect creditors to wipe off an amount of our debt but then claim back mis-sold PPI for ourselves isn't the right way to go. However, this is my opinion so please don't shout me down!!

Jmm, well done on the payout and completing your IVA. It's a puzzling result, however, as it doesn't appear to be consistent with what Payplan's rep has said on the forum regarding the Company's reasons for contracting with EIF . Maybe that's because your claims pre-dated or by-passed the EIF relationship. Who knows ? All the more reason I think for Iaronshove to get some clear written answers.
