I was informed that cases are passed for closure on approval of final I&E and closure typically takes 6 months from then.
I have just received my final Annual Report and the Supervisors comments are:
No further funds are due from additional income earned in the final year of the arrangement
This case is now with my closure team for its final administration
It is the Supervisors opinion that the arrangements are likely to be guided to a satisfactory conclusion
At least things appear to be moving in the right direction, I feel so much more confident reading such positive Supervisors comments.
It just goes to show how 3 little lines of information can clarify the situation so much, I now know my case is in the process of being closed and my Supervisor is confident there are no problems.
IVA COMPLETED ON THE 17th MARCH, FINAL I&E COMPLETED 26th APRIL, COMPLETION CERTIFICATE ARRIVED 2nd AUGUST
Good luck with that one, same Supervisor F&F Jan 2012 told verbally closure period approx 6 months never had it in writing tho!!! Also GT are making clients aware issues with HMRC is causing delays in closing IVA's in the 6 months they originally advised. My own closure date has already been put back by 2 months, i'll believe it when discharge cert actually arrives.
Well done on reaching your goal, it's a great feeling making that final payment..
Yep I'm STILL waiting too!
2 emaile sent and relpied to...now and a Priority case. Priority my backside!
Final payment was made 31st Aug 2010 File didn't reach the Closures Team till Jan, 5 months later!
Hmm we use GT Auditors at work, wonder how they would like it if their invoice didn't reach our Accounts Payable Dept till 5 month later then to be told you will possibly get your cheque payment 6 months from then!
You should all definately be able to get an estimate of the expected closure time from GT. I gather than their closures are now startint to speed up, so they may well be able to give you a much better idea now.
I phoned and asked GT yesterday why they had not sent out my cc, as Karol had said 3 weeks ago i would have mine by the 28th May.
I was put on hold whilst he tried to find out, he thanked me for waiting.
He said there wasn't any reason why i should'nt have my cc, he also said it hadn't been posted, i thought it may have gone astray, he said it would be heightened up the chain of command so Karol could look at it on her return from leave, i suggested i phone back in a about week.

Regards David.
Why on earth can the late issue of your completion cert. only be investigated by Karol Wilson? Does it really have to be left for a week because she's on leave?
It does seem a little unfair on Karol and David. If there isn't any reason why the CC hasn't been issued and its only waiting to go in the post, why not post it!!??!!
Quick update.....
It's been a long week at work and I have come home to find my Completion Certificate on my doormat! I am one HAPPY bunny!
Thank you everyone on this forum for your comments which have gicen me support through the last 12 months. Although, I haven't put many posts on the forum itself, the ones others have written have been very supportive and have kept me going.
I am going to have a glass of wine this evening to celebrate my achievement. Let's face it, to survive the 5 years within an IVA is an achievement and we should all be proud of ourselves.
I can't stop crying or smiling.....silly I know but it's a HUGE weight off my shoulders now after waiting since last August (final payment) until now to receive this paperwork...I am DEBT FREE!!!! x
