Morning all,

I am in the process of starting a new business with a friend and we have plans for it all to start in September. We are at the stage where he returns from holiday next week, and we need to meet with a bank to get our business bank account open.

I would like to know if the fact i have previously had an IVA (completed and 6 years from june 23rd '12) if this will go against me, and if it will affect us opening an account for the business?

Hope someone can shed some light! Just so i am prepared for it if need be.

cheers for your help

Jay
IVA Completed June 2011!

Update is it has now been 6 years + 1 day since the start...it has all just been removed from my credit report! Soo Happy!

It was worth the long wait!

Now I am free again!

Your credit file should be cleared up by September so there is no reason for a bank to discriminate against you. Good luck with the new venture.
