Hi all,

Just wanted to post an update.

I was emailed by the Closure team at GT 4 weeks ago to say my CC would be here in 3-4 weeks. That would have been the end of this week.

I have received an email today from the closures team apologising, that the time frame given in the last email hadn't allowed for the 12th & 13th being holidays in Northern Ireland. So GT will be closed for the next 2 days.My completion certificate will be with me next week.

Wanted to post incase anyone tries to contact them in the next couple of days & won't get a response.

I was grateful for the update email, as I expected it the end of this week. At least my mind has been put to rest & it will be here next week.[:)]

Thanks

Vixster

:( I was hoping they had turned a corner and was issuing quicker ... Not been on forum for a while so was unclear on the GT saga! So unfair you've had to 8 months Xx

Hi Michelle.29

We have had delays in getting our certificate as we were originally with Accuma. Our case was moved to GT in 2009. On closing there were unequalised dividends. Nothing to do with us as we had paid all the monies. GT had to sort it with the creditors.
I must say that since we have been able to contact the closures team direct it has been a big help.
Since then the problem has been resolved & we have had updates along the final stages of our closure.
I do agree that 8 Months is a long time to wait as we want to move forward. In one respect I feel lucky as there are some that have been waiting a lot longer.

Are you waiting for yours?

Hi All,

Just to weigh in, I finally received my CC today, 12 months after my final payment. I kept chasing the main helpline to no avail and in the end it was only getting Karol at GT involved that finally got things moving (and even then the CC has arrived two months later than promised)!

Not to worry anyone but the next chore is cleaning your credit file up. I assumed that the defaults should all drop off your credit file after six years, in fact I'm sure they should. However, I have defaults still showing past six years. I'm currently waiting for Equifax to explain why but needless to say frustrating!

I guess I'm saying involve Karol if you are not happy with GT, as just waiting got me nowhere, and start looking into your credit file early!
