Just had our end of 4th year review with McCambridge Duffy who so far have been excellent.....however have now asked for a payment of £1850 as 50 % of my wifes increased income from her PAYE job but don't seem to have taken into consideration the reduction in her self employed income for the same period.
I had calculated that our monthly payment would go up by about £40.
Will be ringing tomorrow to discuss with them, but feelig anxious +++ a the moment. Any thoughts appreciated
Hi. Hopefully they have just overlooked the corresponding decrease and a phone call can put it right. Michael Peoples from McCD posts here and, hopefully will pick this up.

I am sure that this is an oversight by the supervisory team which can easily be resolved. They would probably prefer that you contacted the privately about this.
Thanks for the replies, I don't really post on this site often but look at it about twice a day...an absolute life line and the input from the experts like Melanie, Andy michael and others is worth its weight in gold. i will be able to contact McCD today and hopefully get this resolved.....10 payments to go.
Just an update. Spoke to McCambridge Duffy yesterday who were very helpful, made a note of my concerns and spoke to the IP, rang again today and they have aken into consideration the loss of self employed income balanced against the increase in PAYE for the same period so nothing to pay. This reinforces my opinion of McCambridge Duffy as my dealings with them over the last 4 years or so have been excellent, 10 months to go then take a deep breath and look forward to the future.
Good luck to everyone in an IVA or strugguling financially as there is light at the end of that tunnel, it just seems to be such a long tunnel though!
Sounds like you've had a good outcome there Julian, usually these matters are easily resolved. The quality of a good IP is not just whether they get your IVA accepted it how they deal with matters as they arise. Glad you got it sorted and I'm pleased you find the forum so valuable.

Many of the problems we see are easily resolved with a bit of communication, or contacting the IP direct, if having problems with case workers. Unfortunately, from our side of the fence, the simplest thing can get blown out of all proportion.
So ... don't panic Mr Mainwaring
