hi, we have recently been accepted for an iva. after looking through the paperwork from the meeting, it has come to light that one of our creditors is not on the paperwork. When we looked through the emails it seems we never mentioned it in the first place, this is a genuine oversight and im not really sure what to do, would there be any way to add this to my iva or am i likely to complicate things, we owe about £900 and our overall debt is around £30,000. Any advice would be greatly appreciated. Thankyou!

Hi vimtolil! It should relatively simple to add such a small debt to the iva. Have a chat to your IP tomorrow.

And don't worry...you aren't the first and you won't be the last x

Pick up the phone and speak to you IP.....I am sure that they will understand and will liaise with your creditors to have it included retrospectively

They will automatically be bound by the terms of the IVA in any case, so pass the details on to your IP firm and let them deal with the creditor directly. The inclusion of this debt is unlikely to affect the outcome greatly.
