I`ve still got the forms sent from EIF in March which I am about to complete and return (been in hospital a long time)
Imagine my surprise when a cheque for £7.78 arrived out of the blue from my IP with the message "Please find attached a refund cheque in relation to your recent PPI claim". That`s all it says.
It makes me wonder if they are proceeding without the paperwork ??

Wow...£7.78...don't spend it all at once!! [;)]

Yea it does Ames1. Though we were always pretty careful not to take such types of insurance.
Unless they sent it to the wrong person.
Think I`ll ring the IP before reading through the pack and signing it - might be wasting my time.

Yea I would check, I thought I didnt have any PPI, however, I did and I know that I was missold this as I had my own stand alone policy running at the time for unemployment etc so if I would have known I was paying it I would have refused it as I was already paying one policy. Sometimes they are hidden charges that are built into loans etc. I did my investigations myself and paid over to my IP just over £12k towards my IVA fund after I had agreed a F&F settlement. They are still not happy though and want to do it again themselves!!

How bizarre - what does this refund from your IP relate to Hyperdrive?

Im completely fed up with trying to get my IP to understand that I have done it myself, paid 100p in the £, covered his fees and still have about £3k left over towards stat interest, hes still not happy with this and not letting it go that he wants his claims co who are charging 33.5% to carry out the investigation process. Its hard work!!!!!! all I want him to do is my final accounts and vat refund, give me my certificate and let me go away and leave him alone!!!!! Ive even oficially complained and the second letter has not even been acknowledged, Ive asked for details of governing body etc and nothing. Sorry for my rant but get more angry as the day goes on :-)

Ames1 the governing body for ips is the institute of chartered accountants. You have to go through internal complaints though. Hope u get it sorted :)

Icaew.com is the website they do an online complaint form. Try and solve it via the internal complaints system first as that's what it sAys on the icaew page somewhere. Hope that helps

Thanks Gina.gu, I have gone through internal complaints and they have responded to my original letter, I wrote back as not happy with their responses then nothing for 10 days, apparently the complaints process say they will acknowledge the letter by end of next business day with what they will do from now on but nothing for last 10 days. Im getting used to it now and know that Im not going to have my CC anytime soon :-(

Ames1 I have just been through something the same more or less. I bombardedthem by email for days and weeks and months. Its depressing when you get nowhere and when weekend comes and you can't get to anybody its worse. Dig your heels in and keep arguing your case. Who are you with sorry if u have already posted this but I havnt seen it. At. I got legal advice and let the company know I was doing that. Don't give up. Gain strength from the forum.if you feel you have done enough and it sounds like it to me, inform your ip by email that you are escalating the complaint. Its your right if you are getting nowhere.

Thanks Gina.gu, I have been reading your posts and it sounds horrendous what you have gone through. I'm with Cleardebt. I am so frustrated with my IP its driving me mad, I have complained to him through internal complaints and I hate to really as feel its almost over now and not good to end on a bad note, they inherited my IVA so didnt choose them in the first place and just so dissapointed with incorrect information i have been given and just lack of compassion really, I dont feel that they are very sypmathetic at all, just very demanding with orders :-(

Ames1 stick to your guns and follow through what you feel needs to be done. Your ip works for you as well as creditors and fees are taken for that purpose. Try to gain strengh fron the forum and keep us all informed what's happening. We are a supportive lot on here when someone needs it. Take care, give some orders of your own! If anything being in an iva esp at the end and beginning has mademe stronger I am sure it will you too :)
